I first read about permanent jewelry while my photography studio was under construction, in an article whose headline read something along the lines of “I GOT A GOLD BRACELET PERMANENTLY WELDED ONTO MY WRIST!”, and I had to know more.

Some quick reading and scrolling of TikTok hashtags led me to understand that this painless process did NOT in fact weld any metals onto the skin, but actually welded a custom fitted chain to itself, around the wearers wrist.

Since there is no clasp to take the chain on and off, and because only the highest quality gold chains are used, which never tarnish or damage the skin, the jewelry is, in fact— permanent! (Unless of course you decided to cut it off with scissors. But why would you ever!?)
